Why did the Lord save me in that hospital bed nearly three years ago? He saved me and also saved me. If I could have traded my life… Because it just doesn’t seem fair. I am not worthy of His love. Why did he answer my dear auntie’s prayers over me that day? Why me and not someone so much more worthy?
Hard transitional break.
The volunteer squash in action. Tossed in melted bacon fat, roasted at 425 degrees for 45 minutes or so. Turned once. Like buttah.
We built a little retaining wall for the soil pile. We really need either a truck or a utility trailer because it was a tight fit for those boards. A nervous drive from Lowes.
Plum vinegar decanted after fermentation and it looks and tastes great. It’s so pretty. I didn’t even bother pitting them and I think that added nice flavor to it.
The Winter Density romaine seeds from Territorial are germinating exceedingly well. I think good ole Territorial came through again. I am sorry I wasted time with seed stock from anywhere else. I am looking forward to them becoming seedlings soon and helping others start a little lettuce patch.
Musubi is being naughty. I had just tidied up that table, which tends to collect clutter through the day. He got caught. Now I have to sterilize the table because I am a nut about critters on tables. Grody.
Eric if you ever read this, do you remember the people we were acquainted with in Hawaii that had chickens that they let run across the dining tables, counters, everywhere? They pooped as they ran and everything was covered in chicken poop. The baked fish was great though.
As an addendum: still waters run deep.
